"That on the application of the owners, Messrs McCaw Stevenson and Orr Limited a new street on their property situate off Stranmillis Road be named Ridgeway Street". (17th August 1892).
There is a blue plaque erected by the Ulster History Circle to commemorate theatre director Mary O'Malley (1918-2006) on the side of the Lyric Theatre on Ridgeway Street. She founded the Lyric Players Theatre in 1951.
