Paxton Street

Paxton Street Following an appeal on Twitter, @wave_wisdom suggested the street might be called after Scottish Minister, Rev George Paxton (2 April 1762 – 9 April 1837). He later became Professor of Divinity at the University of Edinburgh. Paxton Street occurs in the 1877 Belfast Street Directory. Wave_Wisdom gave examples of other streets with a religious connotation in the same area.
