Marylebone is a district of London situated in the City of Westminster (postal districts W1 and NW1).  The name is derived from St Mary Burne, 'stream of St Mary', referring to the parish church.  Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum is on Marylebone Road.  The fictional residence of the detective Sherlock Holmes, creation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, was at 221B, Baker Street in the Marylebone area.  Marylebone Station is a main line railway terminus serving places north-west of London, including Birmingham.  It features as a property on the Monopoly board.

Marylebone Park forms part of a cluster of streets in the Laganvale area of Stranmillis named after London suburbs, namely Penge Gardens, Willesden Park, Belvedere Park, Vauxhall Park, Cricklewood Park, Knightsbridge Park and Richmond Park.
