"Mr. McCrea attended and applied to have the name of Cabul Street changed, and Councillor Curley and Mr. McCrea were requested to obtain the consent of all the owners of property in the portion now built upon, in writing, thereto when the application would be favorably considered". “That on the application of Messrs McFarland and others, the name ‘Manor Street’ be substituted for Cabul Street, and applied also to the continuation of that street to Cliftonville Road. “Councillor W. M. Wilson gave notice that he would move at next meeting:”” (26th July 1893).
The minutes of the Town Improvement Committee 26 July 1893 state: “At the request of the owners they have substituted the name of ‘Manor street’ for Cabul street’ and applied it also to the continuation of that street to Cliftonville road.
