“On the application of John Savage Esq it was Resolved, That the new street proposed to be made by him as a substitute for McClelland’s Lane be called Lime St.” (25th April 1863).
The name Lime Street is no longer in use; however, it is preserved nearby in Lime Court, close to the site of the former street.
