Named after the village of Glenties in SW Donegal. It lies at the convergence of several valleys, which is, indeed, the origin of the name: Ir. na Gleannta, 'the glens'. Glenties Drive is part of a cluster of streets in this neighbourhood (Suffolk/Lenadoon) named after places in Co. Donegal.
