This is a continuation of an existing street, Belfast (BT14); name approved by Belfast City Council on 9 January 2006 under the heading Naming of Streets and Numbering of Properties: “The Committee approved the undernoted applications for the naming of streets in the City, which did not conflict with existing approved street names and to which the Royal Mail had offered no objections.”
The entry appears as: “Deerpark Mews — Continuation of existing street, BT14 — Mr. Seamus McKee".
Modern name, combining Deerpark which comes from the local street names called Deerpark with Mews indicating a small, enclosed residential development.
