Corry Place

Corry Place
BT3
Town Parks

Street in the harbour estate, off Corry Road. The name is derived from Corry Road, and thus possibly commemorates the Corry family, prominent Belfast timber merchants and shipowners of J.P. Corry & Co. (established 1814), long associated with the development of Belfast Harbour. In use by at least 1992 (Belfast News-Letter, 17 March 1992); the date of naming has not been established, but the name appears to belong to the same late 20th-century phase of harbour development as Corry Road.
